The CES 2012 was full of announcements from different manufacturers from smartphones, chipsets to platform that make the CES 2012 amazing.

As 2011 had shown us the massive effect of smartphone, many manufacturers also made an entry to hit and also to rank the market. As usual, Apple did not show up on the event.

Here are the top 9 coolest smartphones in CES 2012, Las Vegas:

1. LG Spectrum – Verizon Wireless
LG spectrum is a High-Definition smartphone that could support up to 720p resolution and equipped with 1.5 GHz Dual-core processor. The phone is slim and light enough to carry on your daily habit. The phone also features the advanced high-def IPS for brighter and finer screen display. It has also small fonts that are cute to see but readable at all and is equipped with video editing program and an HD-specific app store. The phone runs with Google’s Android 2.3 Ginger bread and supports LTE 4G network.

2. Motorola Droid 4 – Verizon Wireless
Motorola Droid 4 is a smartphone that features QWERTY keypad on a sleek slider design – a laser that divides the QWERTY keyboard into five rows with lightning effect on edges – and uses 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor. The device also support LTE 4G network for faster wireless sharing. It also works with Motorola’s collection of Webtop mode accessories that comprises 10-inch and 14-inch Lapdocks, HD Docking Station for the living room and a Vehicle Navigation Dock. It could be a temptation for BlackBerry user to switch handset.

3. Samsung Galaxy Nexus – Sprint
Galaxy Nexus is a super AMOLED display smartphone running on a Dual-core processor from Samsung. The phone is also claimed to be the pride of Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung bounded Galaxy Nexus to Sprint that supports Google Wallet – Verizon Wireless is no longer part of the device. Galaxy Nexus also supports LTE 4G for faster data sharing.

4. LG Viper – Sprint
If Samsung has its Galaxy Nexus on Sprint, LG has also its Viper. The LG Viper has 4-inch display and also equipped with Dual-core processor. The device has a good design with brushed metal panel and cheaper than the Galaxy Nexus. The handset runs with Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread and supports LTE radio. LG Viper is also equipped with NFC.

5. Sony Xperia Ion – AT&T
Xperia Ion is the first smartphone of Sony alone. The device is built with 1.5 GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has a 4.6-inch display that supports up to 720×1280 or 720p resolution with a 12 mega-pixel rear-facing camera. The device runs with Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread – Sony promised to have Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware update later for the device this year. It can also handle PlayStation-caliber games in addition to music and video. And what makes the phone promising? Sony is now working to create Sony’s Playstation games exclusive for the device.

6. HTC Titan II – AT&T
HTC introduces its new Titan II that runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and the first to have 16 mega-pixels camera in US. The phone is built with 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor for faster processing experience. It has a 4.7-inch display and supports LTE data speeds. The phone is capable of capturing photo up to 4640×3840 pixel resolution. It records video up to 720p resolution with 16 GB internal storage – just like iPhone, no memory card slot.

7. Nokia Lumia 900 – AT&T
The Lumia 900 is the first high-end smartphone that runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango every made by Nokia. The device supports LTE 4G network with 8 mega-pixel rear-facing camera. The device also features Carl Zeiss optics and has a screen size of 4.3-inch that uses super AMOLED display for darker black graphics.

8. Huawei Ascend P1 S – TB
Huawei introduces the thinnest smartphone ever, Ascend P1 S that has a thickness of 0.26 of an inch. The device is built with 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4460 Dual-core processor with a 4.3-inch screen that uses super AMOLED display and has 540×960 resolution. The device has also 2 built-in cameras which are the front-facing and the rear-facing camera. The Ascend P1 S runs with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

9. Lenovo K800 – China’s Unicom
Lenovo K800 is an Intel associate smartphone that uses Intel chipset. It has 4.5-inch display that supports up to 720p resolution. The phone is equipped with Wi-Di and has a long last battery.
